Building Capacity for Women in Red Seal Trades
Building Capacity for Women in Red Seal Trades was a project with the goal of training trades students and instructors to support women during their trades training.
I collaborated with Trades Training Development, Plumbing and Pipe Trades instructors and instructional designers to develop an interactive online course that examines different techniques to promote an inclusive and welcoming learning environment for everyone. My specific tasks were to create a style sheet and logo, icons, templates for the interactive quizzes, posters, fillable forms, social media ads, and motion graphics for promotional videos. We met frequently over several months to discuss our progress, ideas and strategies. I had to quickly learn new programs, such as Articulate 360 and D2L in order to provide assistance with brand consistency. A pilot of the course was released in 2021.
